Using forums for SEO?
« on: November 15, 2011, 08:21:15 AM »
Hello - thanks in advance for your help!

How can I use forums for SEO and/or building inbound links?

What kind of forums should I be posting in? And am I supposed to include my website in my signature when I post?

Thanks for your help.

You are already using forums for link building.

Well, You should look at forums related yo your niche. Check if its offer dofollow signature link.

If you found dofollow signature than participate in that forum and set your signature with keyword on link.

It is very simple.

Since its quite daunting to find dofollow forums, you may go for nofollow as well (dofollow will remain a priority ofcourse).

Although I prefer a tool Keyword Country to help me dig niche related dofollow forums easily.

Posting quality answers in nofollow forums will add to your credibility and give you referral traffic which is equally important as SERP’s.

Describe your images with the use of the alt tag. This will help search engines that index images to find your pages and will also help readers who use text only web browsers.

Yes, we use forums for doing seo by actively posting on forums. You can put your site's link by hyperlink it with your keywords in your signature if the forum offers do-follow link. This will be a huge promotion of your site.

Some webmasters and moderators choose to remove and restrict such advertising efforts. You will need to put your point across in an unhurried and logical manner, such that your product or service is seen as meeting a need that is particularly relevant to that discussion thread or problem.

Instead,  once you've become a true contributing member to the community and you've written something interesting in a post, some members or readers of that community who have their own sites, visit the url in your sig, and then decide to place a link to your site from  theirs.
