Flash is good. But the negative effect of it, it will slow your speed loading.

Flash based website has always been remained a debatable in SEO community. There are three pillar reasons that i think for flash based website:

1. Flash is a poor substitute for html
2. Flash only websites don’t usually provide unique URLs for different site pages
3. Flash sites are almost always slower to load

Search engines are still in their infancy to read and understand flash.

Spiders can crawl textual content in SWF files of all kinds. This includes Flash "gadgets" such as buttons or menus, self-contained Flash websites, and everything in between. But a website completely made in Flash is quite difficult for spiders to crawl. Also, it increases your page loading speed which results in a bad user experience.

Its better that you make a text based website... than Flash based
