ASO stands for App Store Otimization. These are all the techniques that are used to improve your ranking in app stores.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. These are all the techniques to improve your ranking on Search Engines on specific keywords.

ASO is all about ranking your apps in app stores while SEO is all about ranking your website or content on search engines. This alone makes a huge difference between the two.

Even though some of the things are done in a similar fashion in ASO as SEO but both are very different when it comes to the results you get out of it.

Today, with the increasingly popular mobile applications, the term ASO is becoming increasingly popular and known.

Although its an old thread but i want to contribute as well. There is no changing from SEO to ASO because they have different field but have some similarities in ranking.
