According to you how much backlinks require for achieving first rank in Google?

There are no hard and fast rules as such. More than the number, it depends on a couple of factors like relevance, quality and link velocity (speed + source of links built) of the inbound links.

Further, linkbuilding just one factor. There are over 200 factors that Google collectively uses to determine a site's ranking. If you are consistent with your off-page optimization and social media marketing, you are building links organically....you should be able to see the results pretty soon...

For the Record. There is an instances that Top Placer in Google only have a few backlink but Solid backlinks.

I don't really know, because even you got a lot backlink but in poor site you will not be on top of Google... thats the reality.

As per my knowledge,Quality does matter than Quantity.

In my opinion, if your backlink have strong influence on the search engine rankings of the webpage they are highly valuable. Maybe because it comes from authoritative sites.

Its all dependent on keywords, more the competition more will be the backlinks required.

You should take care during submitting your link in other directories and you must avoid to submit more than 10 directories in a day. If you are submit your link more than 10 than directories then Google will consider your site as a scam.

Ha Ha Ha ... That is great question but its hard to answered no one can say that how much back links are helpful to gain top ranking. Even I am sure that only back links are not enough to gain to ranking in search engine

Really funny question, you can't predict how much backlink you need to get on 1st, it depends upon quality and link popularity of both, the submission where you place and the link of yours. So better the quality less backlinks.
