URLs are explicit addresses while links are relative ways to URLs. Any time you are web based exploring between sites, you are either utilizing connections or URLs (Uniform Resource Locators). Commonly, you click on hyperlinks to follow links.

Without a link, it is impossible to reach an online resource and without the URL, the link would lead nowhere. A URL is the location of a page. A link uses a URL in order to take the visitor to the destination. A link uses a url via <a href=https://url.com">My Link</a> to make the link.

Link and URL are two such terms that are heard very often when one deals with the web.  When we share somebody some content over the net, we share a link. We insert a URL in the browser when we need to search for a particular page.

The main difference between link and URL is that link takes the user from one address to a different , while URL is that the address denoted by the link. Links don't follow any protocol, while URLs follow protocols, like HTTP, FTP, etc. Links don't have a particular syntax, while URLs do.

The difference is not big. Link is something that takes the user from one address to another. On the other hand, URL is the address itself denoted by link.
