« on: August 08, 2011, 02:00:36 AM »
The importance of managed servers is best appreciated in these modern times. Server management has found to be efficient in giving ease and worry free maintenance of the server and in case there is a sudden trouble, the provider company will get to it right away.

Managed servers must be able to operate at its full benefits by managing it better; you (the client) will have the server’s utmost efficiency, a more competitive edge over others on the business and the chance to be able to align your business with the available technology. This way, you will be able to gain the ROI or return of investment on your server in a much faster rate giving you ample time to focus on the priorities for your business or work.

The managed servers must be reliable in delivering the uptime needed, the level of security must be at its peak safeguarding your data, has flexibility, has innovation, and efficient both in performing the needed task and at the cost by delivering the ROI faster than expected.

Server management is VERY important. There are so many exploits and things that can go wrong on a server. Any software that is installed needs to be kept up to date or patched for known exploits. I think everyone will agree with me. If you are going to have a server you need to learn to secure it or find someone who can and pay them.

Server management is most important for any website as the complete business of the organisation depends on the website hence it's very important to keep the site available 24/7 and fast high traffic times and quick loading up of the website is important.

@lillianabe true that's why it is important to choose a web hosting company base on what your site needs. Some business owners are even paying for additional features of a web hosting company just to be sure that their site could handle all the traffic they could get.

Server Management needs are all relative to the use of the server. If you have mission critical data or need to provide a certain SLA, then it's very important. If your running a personal server and just having fun then half of that fun is learning. There are plenty of howto guides and help docs all over the internet to tell you almost anything you need to know. You just have to keep at it and read read read. If you don't have the time to dedicated to that, pay someone  ;)

The server is a significant part of the IT Company and it is a blend of hardware and software. It has lots of data and information stored in it. There can be additional services which are not limited to hosting services, messaging, contact, chat services, etc. so all these services to be always running, Server Monitoring is vital.

Hey John,

I’m the Affiliate Manager of Monitive. I saw that you already link to us (maybe after speaking with Lucian at the time) here

Now that we have an affiliate program, you could join us and start earning commissions on any new content you create about Monitive.

Our Commission is 20% and the cookie window is 1 year. You also earn 20% every time the customer you referred renews their membership - so this can really add up.

If you’re interested I’d love to fasttrack you and make sure you have your Affiliate Account and Trackable Link so you can start earning commissions. Note that we cannot track commissions through the link that you have now.

All you need to do is fill in this form so we have all the info we need to create your affiliate account: https://affiliates.monitive.com/

Please let me know if you’d like any more info.

Sophia
Assistant Affiliate Manager of Monitive

P.S. The 20% commission (also on renewals) is going to be lowered soon, but I will make sure you’ll be grandfathered into this if you sign up with me.

Hi again,

I’m worried my previous message didn’t arrive with the person responsible for this, could you connect me to the right person or send me the email of the person in charge of this?

I’m the Assistant affiliate manager of monitive.com and I saw that you had already tagged us in some related content here in this post.

https://monitive.com is an uptime monitoring tool in an easy-to-understand language with an intuitive dashboard. Most of our customers have small and medium sized online businesses (think ecommerce businesses, or solopreneurs selling courses/ ebooks/ services online)

The problem is, a lot of people assume their hosting company is good and their site is up. Which almost never happens. And I know there aren’t many interesting affiliate Uptime Monitor Affiliate programs out there besides us.

I want to make sure you join the program while we have higher commissions (20%). Once you join of course we’ll grandfather you into it and you’ll also earn every time one of your referrals renews (another 20%)

If you ARE the right person, all you need to do is reply to this message and I’ll set everything up for you. Of course I can also share more info or answer any questions you may have
Best,
Sophia
