What is Google Updates...? Whats the update now..?

The elementary part remains the same. But Google's been focusing more on improving user experience....which means you should be continuing to offer value, keep useful content above the fold, not indulge in cheap link buying practices & write content that attracts links. Also, it announced an Over optimization penalty lately which means you should steer clear from keyword stuffing and link spamming.

Update refers to the changes which google makes in its algorithm for prioritizing the websites for keyword ranking. For the last 2 months, it has given many updates based on qualifying the content and link you get from the websites.

Google penguin was google's latest update that i heared.This update was against over optimization and trying to stop low quality sites from appearing towards the high quality content sites.
