In search engine optimization (SEO), Google Dance is an out-dated slang term used to describe the period of time in which Google used to rebuild its rankings, and as a result of this rebuilding, rankings of Web sites on Google's SERP may fluctuate in order during a several day period.

Search Results used to go up and down for a few days when google did a major update but do don't see that much anymore.

As in the sense of it "dance is dance". Google dance here is the up-and-down keywords for a few days, even if you are still putting links. You also do not worry, after a few days your site rank will return to normal.

Google Dance is algorithm, where Each page of website will be crawled by googlebot to update the ranking of websites.

Google dance occurs in certain period of time when google is rebuilding its rankings. Due to this update there will be fluctuation in search result. This major index update is occurred on an average for every 36 days or 10 times per year.

Google dance means the dance of  Google. It means that fluctuation in ranking. Ranking goes down either lower or higher.
