Hi Friends,
Keyword density varies between one search engines to another search engine, or also they require different amount of keyword density on a web page in order to index the website. Sometimes, a web page may not have good or effective content keyword density; however they rank higher in Google SERP, because of their brand value or brand authority. Search engines like Google recommend a keyword density is 1 to 2% while Yahoo allows a website that has 3%.

Simple way: number of repeats the keyword / total number of words on the web page * 100 = Keyword Density
