I have seen people discussing that they are not getting result after executing couple of link building activities with proper content and the quality websites.

Indexing of he web page from where you are getting link, can be the main purpose behind this. You must check whether the page has been indexed in Google or any other search engine from where you are getting links.You will not get the benefits unless that page with your link will not get indexed.

Try to get quality backlinks you need to check whether the page is indexed and crawled by google or not. if the link is generated by article submission then you can share it on social networking site which can helps to crawl the articles otherwise you can ping your backlinks to get them indexed by search engines

There are lots of online tool available to check status. I am using LinkClaw.com. This is paid tool which offers facilitis to increasing crawling rate of your back link. This software also generate RSS feed for our all submitted links. It is really nice tool.

if we built a link and will not index until or unless Google will crawl again that page from where we got link. And if, Google does not show it, then what should we do?
