Benchmarking reports allow site owners to see trends and to gain the insights into how well the site is performing. After enabling benchmarking , users will be able to access the data under 'Audience' in the left sidebar of the google analytics dashboard.
Benchmarking allows businesses to log into Google Analytics and compare data that ash been shared by other businesses in your industry. It is an excellent way to pick up trends, and gain insight into how the industry is performing and it makes it much easier for you to set targets that are meaningful, relevant. Benchmarking makes business planning easier.
The benchmarking report, which is not yet available to all Analytics users, will provide data like sessions and bounce rates, broken down by channel, location and device.
Benchmarking allows you to compare your data with aggregated industry data from other companies who share their data. This provides valuable context, helping you to set meaningful targets, gain insight into trends occurring across your industry, and find out how you are doing compared to your competition.
