Please excuse newbie question.  I am trying out A1 Sitemap Generator and had understood that it can support Right to Left languages.  But the RTL URL's come out as ? on the sitemap.  The documentation talks about the Translation Window - but where is it?  Please could you explain how I create a sitemap with URL's in mixed languages - some RTL and some LTR.  Thank you in advance.

Currently it will require some fiddling with Windows configuration *if* you experience the problem you see. The explanation a bit longwinded but is expected to be completely solved relatively soon. Until then you will have to do as outlined in multiple language websites help page. Hopefully it will solve your problems.

The explanation you referred to sounds a bit beyond my skills.  I have no idea what a code page is.  Could someone with pretty minimal coding skills do this?

Any idea how soon is relatively soon?

What languages does your website contain? And I will try make a suggestion. What's your website? and I will take a test run so it works!

I'm aiming for just before 2011 to this be a complete problem of the past. I will have to do it with a major release though as I will have to ditch support for Win98/WinME. I can probably deliver a beta somewhat sooner than that. Still, I think above solution can also work out for you.

Thanks very much for replying and offering to help.  The Help section you referred me to says:

Open Control Panel | Regional and Language | Advanced.  Ermmm.......sorry but where is the Control Panel?  You are referring to something on the A1 Sitemap and not my website's control panel right?  I scoured the interface but don't see either Control Panel or Regional and Language.  Sorry if I am being dense.

I have two websites:

www.strivney-english.co.il  has Hebrew, English, Arabic and Russian pages.

www.strivney-english.com has Hebrew, English, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, French, Chinese and Japanese pages.

I have some more changes to make before I submit the sitemaps.  I was recommended to A1 by someone who has a website in Hebrew.  I would like to be sure A1 can do what I need before I purchase.  A beta version would also be fine.

Hi,

From the mix of languages, I don't think it is currently possible to scan those websites in one complete website scan and retrieve correct titles. However, it will soon be possible. I will return tomorrow with a time estimate for alpha/beta, but you will probably want to check for alternative solutions in the meantime

(by the way: "Open Control Panel | Regional and Language | Advanced" was in Windows)

And not even possible to do a map for each page manually?

Please do let me know about the alpha/beta timescale.  I did search online and didn't find another sitemap that catered for different languages.

Hi, sorry for the delay, but I will need a couple of more days to solve some problems before I can say when beta is ready. I am working on multiple things in parallel, so delays sometimes happens

If you websites are structire like this:
http://example.com/language1/
http://example.com/language2/
etc.

then you can still create sitemaps using A1 Sitemap Generator following the steps outlined on the help page. But it's too troublesome in my opinion if you have websites with many different languages. The current solutions works best if you just need e.g. western languages + e.g. a single language like hebrew, arabic or similar.
