A page is considered an orphan when you have zero links from other pages. By default, the home page has no inbound links, making it an orphan, but it is not bad at all in this case.

An orphaned page is a page without any incoming links. What this means is that unless you know that this page exists, you are not likely to come across it in the space during the natural course of navigation.

Orphan page is a page with no related pages linked to it. It can also look up to pages that do not connected any longer. The pages used should have the link going to the website and should be associated to the same website.

Website page is defined to be orphan if the page has few links or no links. De-orphaning articles is an important aspect of building the web.

When you are working in a large space with a number of pages, it is difficult to keep track of all of them. An orphaned page may be redundant or need to be referred to from another page. Confluence allows you to view all the orphaned pages in a space so you can "tidy up" the space by either deleting pages or by reorganising them.

ericfox

According to me an orphan page does not provide a link back to the originating page. You will need to use your browsers "Back" button to return. Be sure to include clear, easy to use, navigation buttons on each page of your web. Also, each page should be labeled, contain a heading or uses common colors or styles which clearly identifies it as being part of your web.

maxsamuel

than what is the use of orphan page ? but still i got something new here. nice post has been made by you. as i didn't know about this page.

ericfox

According to me Book layout and interior design is often a long and tedious process, and if possible, should be left to those who specialize it the process. But if you need to do it yourself, take the time and effort to make your finished product as professional as you possibly can.
