I am quite dismissive of article marketing. With Matt Cutts clearly discouraging this form of link-building (post the Panda update)..."I am not a huge fan of article marketing"..why waste time on an outdated strategy.

Why don't you go for other facets of article marketing namely Blogging, guest blogging, social bookmarking,forum posting etc..I personally prefer doing guest blogging and forum posting. With keyword country as my partner, I am able to find niche related blogs and forums.

After Google panda updation, its important if you are submitting article and getting backlink. Article marketing is consider as a great source for traffic and backlink. Google always give priority to contextual link and articles always  generate contextual link.
