Title: Benefits of nofollow links
Post by: honey9 on December 19, 2011, 01:58:17 AM
Here are some benefits of nofollow links,
1. Human traffic: You can still get traffic from 'nofollow' links. You won't get traffic from search engines, but from the websites themselves. If you have good backlinks, this can be very beneficial even though the links are 'nofollow'.
2. It doesn't hurt: 'Nofollow' links can't hurt your website. Search engines won't let them impact your rank (for better or worse).
3. Search engines still follow: Although links are deemed 'nofollow', search engines will still follow the link and index your page in some cases. Most won't let the backlink impact your search engine rankings or PageRank, though.

The benefit of a nofollow links placed on a message board or site is that you will not have your hands and fingers full of content. These normally include the circumstances, legal products and more.

Hi,
The term or concept of Do-follow is given by Google, and it is found only in google toolbar. No other search engine working (or follow) on it. Google's crawler crawls to only do follow sites, but other Search Engines considers no-follow links too so these will be beneficial to rank high on other search engines as well.

Nofollow links are like dofollow ones but the only disparity between nofollow and dofollow links is juicing pagerank. Dofollow backlinks juice pagerank and help your pagerank to boost but nofollow ones don't do that. Also nofollow can drive traffic to your site.

If your  website generates natural backlinks you should be fine, but if not, you don't want to create only 'dofollow' back-links. As Google's (and other search engine's) algorithms become better, they might find it suspicious that a website has only 'dofollow' back-links.

Benefits of nofollow links are the following:

1. Human traffic: You can still get traffic from 'nofollow' links. You won't get traffic from search engines, but from the websites themselves. If you have good backlinks, this can be very beneficial even though the links are 'nofollow'.
2. Search engines still follow: Although links are deemed 'nofollow', search engines will still follow the link and index your page in some cases. Most won't let the backlink impact your search engine rankings or PageRank, though.
3. Having only 'dofollow' is suspicious: As Google's (and other search engine's) algorithms become better, they might find it suspicious that a website has only 'dofollow' backlinks. If your website generates natural backlinks you should be fine, but if not, you don't want to create only 'dofollow' backlinks.
4. It doesn't hurt: 'Nofollow' links can't hurt your website. Search engines won't let them impact your rank (for better or worse).
5. They still count (in some ways): Some search engines still use 'nofollow' links to determine ranking (most of the large ones don't, but still). Also, nofollow links might still have a part in the search algorithms. We don't know the exact details of the algorithms, so we don't really know.

I think No follow links are very useful for make back links. No-follow links will give benefits if you post them in high authority sites and sometimes they are more beneficial then low authority do-follow links.
