I heard social book marking sites will give instant back links and I also heard it is outdated.  Which is correct?? My website is just one year old. Can book mark submissions help my site to improve its raking??

Social bookmarkings are one of the factor in SEO to build backlinks but only bookmarkings are not good for a website. In SEO different techniques are available to build backlinks other than bookmarkings. Presently bookmarkings are not much importance and not effects rankings as before.
