Welcome to the forum :) While your post made me think if I need an announcements board, I know people look for dofollow directories! Hopefully more people will chime in with some good directories!
What do you use for for directory submission? Manual, tool or service? I think that is one of the biggest problem for both submitters and directory site owners to keep quality while getting bang'for'the'buck
I tried GSA website submission tool for some of my secondary websites. (This actually also helps give unique descriptions for all submissions). If you use it on more websites with a standard license, make sure you really own those! They check it :)

You can not say there is no use for nofollow links. Google will appreciate such links as well!
