Hey there no new way, you could achieve it through previous way only:
1>Directory submission
2> Article submission
3> Press release
4> Profile creation
5> Social bookmarking site
6>Blog commenting.

I don't thik there is anything new for linkbuilding

Forum Discussion and Blog Commenting are also an effective way of link building. There are not the new technique introduce.

I think profile link should be useful. Profile links is also effective for quality link building. There is nothing new in off page activity Its the usual methods that we are using today.
