This is where you exchange links with sites that are relevant to yours. Make sure they are relevant sites, links on a computer site to a weight loss site are a useless wastes of time! Also, be careful how many link exchanges you do, Google does not like them and they can lead to a penalty because they can be viewed as a link scheme, but doing occasional link exchanges, with relevant sites is okay, and is a natural part of the entire web landscape. Stay away from link pages when doing link exchanges, you want to get them either within content or in blog rolls, but link pages are definitely considered link schemes and are a useless waste of time.

2. Links from Directories: One-Ways & Reciprocal Links

Another way to get backlinks is by placing a listing of your sites in Internet Directories. These links vary depending on the directory.
