Contextual backlinks are WORDS OR PHRASES that are linked on a webpage, these links are placed within CONTENT on a website and are IN CONTEXT (words on a page). Contextual links are NATURAL within the content, meaning that they are words that have meaning and context within the content on that page.

Contextual backlinks are also known as "in content text backlinks" meaning that you have a piece of text (usually anchor text) that links back to your website somewhere in the content.

The great part about contextual backlinks is that webmasters can use them to target various other keywords. The truth is that Google and most of the other search engines use the actual text that links to your site to add authority for that particular phrase. For example if you have your backlink with the anchor text "contextual backlinks" you are likely to have a little more authority and a higher rank when someone searches for contextual backlinks.

Contextual backlinks are essentially hyperlinks to another website which are located within a paragraph of text, hence they are contextual, with text surrounding the link itself.

Google seems to respect contextual back-links more than other forms of backlinks.

Hi Friends,
Contextual backlinks means the link which is included in the content. Suppose you have an awesome blog. In your blog, you create a new post and make an internal or external backlink with an anchor text called **contextual backlink**. The backlink from any website slide bar, menu, submenu, footer or other comment option is not contextual backlink.

Contextual backlinks are those that are built from an existing content on a webpage. These backlinks are very helpful to build your keyword ranking higher in search engines and also increases the domain trust online.
