Dofollow links cause the search bots to "follow" where that link points and add value to it. Nofollow? They don't follow it, and thus do not add any value.

Hi Friends,
The only technical difference between the two is that a nofollow link has a nofollow tag. As a user, it's impossible to tell the difference between a nofollow and dofollow link. However, they ONLY count dofollow links in their algorithm. In fact, according to Google, nofollow links don't pass any PageRank.

Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. Giving us link juice and a backlink. If a webmaster is linking back to you with this link both Search Engine and Humans will be able to follow you. The best way to give someone dofollow love is allowing keyword in the anchor text.

No follow link

Nofollow links attributes do not allow search engine bots to follow link. That means if the website owner is linking back to you with nofollow attributes, it does not pass on link juice.

By default, all links are dofollow links unless they are modified to be nofollow links manually or are automatically changed by a website setting. Search engines crawlers follow dofollow links. ... In contrast, nofollow links have a bit of code that ask search engines to not crawl them or count them as votes of quality.

Do follow and no follow are link attributes and contain instructions for search engine robots. Do follow links are crawled and indexed in search engines whereas no follow links are never crawled and indexed in search engines.

These links are instructions for search engine bots. Do-follow links are crawled and indexed by search engines. These links tell search bots to follow certain links and pass page rank. On the other hand, no-follow links are not crawled or even indexed by search engines. These links tell search bots not to follow certain links and even does not pass any page rank.

Dofollow backlinks pass link juice, helping the linked site gain authority and potentially improve its search engine rankings. Nofollow backlinks, on the other hand, do not pass link juice and have no direct impact on SEO.

A nofollow link doesn't pass authority to the linked page, while a dofollow link does.

The main difference between nofollow and dofollow links is in how they influence the search rankings of the linked page. Dofollow links can boost the search ranking of the page they link to. But nofollow links likely can't. That becomes a dofollow link that can influence Apple's search engine rankings.
