what is richtext?
Richtext is 'text' which is saved along with the formatting and font codes that accopmany it. e.g. a file produced in say MS Word and saved as a text only file would simply contain a sequence of the ascii characters that made up the initial text. The same file saved in Rich Text format would also contain details on the font used, the font point, style of text (bold, italics etc) and also some paragraph formatting information.
