Hi experts,
When I type my site URL in Yahoo site explorer with www it shows different number of links than without www. Can google differs between URL with www and without it?
If it true then please give a suggestion on that.

M. Rebecca

It seems that you are not aware that Yahoo! site explorer has been shut down. How  come you were able to access it?
Yes, there is a difference in number of links. This is happening because links are being displayed to that particular version of the domain. Results vary for different versions of a website. Hence you need to check for your preferred version.

Google has already implemented recognizance both url as same URL but If you think there is an issue you can specify canonical tag or you can redirect one from other.

Google doesn't show back links accurately so the result you may getting is the text search on website not actual link

Google has announced his policy about this issue. And now it doesn't matter either you work with www or without www.

WWW is known as World Wide Web which is root for the all websites on the internet and prefix can be used and it is useful for SEO rating.
Domain can be read with or without WWW as well there is no such restriction for usage of prefix.
but you can set the redirection of the domain then it will automatically redirect to www
thank you.

Google will consider both as different. If and only if you have two versions of a web page, one with www and the other without. But if you had redirection, Google consider the both URL as they are one.

tesori

Definitely Google will take them in a different way. It matters in SEO case because it may cause canonical issues.

Google recognizance both urls as same URL, solve this issueby specifying canonical tag or you can redirect one from other with the help of .htaccess file.

There is not any difference between www and non www site for user point of view but search engine (Google) crawler treat them as a duplicate copy of the website.
for example we have two ways to write a website :)

If your site have both type of url, your back links are splitted into two groups which is not fair. so you need to redirect non www URL to www URL which is know as canonical optimization.
