Which is the bigger brand name in the world of computing? Apple planning to launch its own search engine now.

Of course Google is Bigger.....

No matter how many search engines out there, Google is the best.

I think both are equally important and both are best brands in computing...

Till date Google is the best search engine but can't be sure about future. Other search engines are also trying best to improve and has shown good improvement in recent time. Like Yahoo. And as far as Apple search engine is concerned, it has to improve a lot to compete with Google.

There were no official news released which say Apple is working on a Search Engine project. However I do not think that these 2 companies are direct competitors. To be honest I should say that Google is intervening on every IT market it could and i would not blame on anyone who'd want to put some pressure on them.

I think Facebook + Bing will be a contender. Facebook prevalent on a lot devices. Imagine mobiles, pads etc. Many people log into Facebook every day from all sorts of mobile devices. If they first start integrating good websearch combined with social likes on steroids then... I am not saying Google will lose, but if Bing ever get as good as Google, wouldn't people just use Facebook if they continue to partner with Bing?

I don't see Apple making any serious headway even though they are a big brand. Concerning Google, people's starting point for everything is becoming more and more Facebook. I think Google has a big leap in in search quality, but just imagine if that one day changed... Who would then have most leverage. At counting number of devices, Apple is major player, but not supreme in any way.

But sure, these are interesting days with both Microsoft/Bing/Nokia?, Facebook, Google and Apple all battling for OS platforms, device platforms, web search services and web social services They are trying to grab control on all fronts. Other things (in addition to above) worth keeping an eye on:

Twitter
Chrome browser
Chrome OS / Android OS (merge?)
IPad OS / IPhone OS / Mac OS (merge?)
Application and Music stores (lockin)
Android (HTC/Samsung/Google) versus Apple IPhone
Windows 8 for "pads" (ARM processor) and (Nokia) mobiles?

As per my view Apple is well reputed than Google. Apple gets its revenue by iPods, iphones, laptops, computers and etc while Google only depends on advertisements.

dude..,, Apple contains laptops, ipods and mac systems, GOOGLE - Search Engine GAINT, Mobile (Nexus).., but most of the people preffered Apple Mobiles rather than google mobile same way, if apple launches a Search Engine, most of them will use ONLY GOOGLE SE, there is no doubt of it..,

No one is ahead than Google, at present it is not easy to bite Google for any computing brand in the world.

Obviously Google is the number one and I think Google have no comparison with any other search engine.

More than 70% people use Google so definitely Google is far far ahead than Apple.

I have heard Apple 's updated OS Mac is working well......

the Apple is biggest company in computer world. Google is new in this field but Google's search engine is best.

Well, that's a very easy question. As what you have said Apple is just planning while Google has been there already. So if you would ask who is bigger, then it's definitely Google all the way!

It completely depends on the free services provider and which is best among them. If in near future apple launches a new search engine and provides much more accurate result for searches definitely people will switch towards it.

Infact Google is providing its services at low cost than Apple. But Apple is the innovator and leader of market. What apple is thinking for 2020, might be possible Google think that in 2025. But nothing can be said. No one can judge future. Any thing can be happened.
