See, rankings dwindle when you bring a change in your website. Moreover, it takes about 15 days after crawling for Google to update the changes in SERP results. If you've improved your title and description you'll see yourself high in search results soon.

Title and description matter a lot since they appear in search results. An enticing title and description  can considerably increase your CTR.

A title is the line of text which is display at the top of the browser window. It is the most important SEO tag for any Website because search engine spiders examine the Title tag as the main source for determining the Page topic. The main thing is that title tag will appear in the SERPs as the linked title on which visitors will click to access your webpage. Title is the first factor which is seen by search engine Spiders.

A Description is another important factor of on page optimization to attracting relevant traffic to your site. It provides a summary of website services and theme to website visitors of what your website is offering.
