It always best to do blog posting and forum posting in high pr and do follow sites. In social bookmarking site, submit your site in popular social bookmarking sites like Reddit and Delicious, and be active and participate in these sites..

Hey many thanks for u Rama.. Its very good reference to the newbies like me. Im still a solid learner of SEO. I think Blog commenting the best way to get as many google links as required. i read some posts of some people that google crawls only "do-follow" blogs.. No use of No-follow blogs like..
But i noticed tat many sites google links, that they posses No-follow blogs in tthe google links..Since then i started doin no-folow blog comments also.. Is it a good tactic?

1. Write every day. Length is up to you but make it good reading.
2. Use a good CMS (Content Management System).
3. Provide RSS and automated pinging
4. Encourage Commenting
5. Make it easy to submit (Tweet, Stumble, Digg, etc) to social bookmarking and social media sites.
6. Link to the main website domain
7. Tag and Categorize all of your content for the best indexing results
8. Make sure the blog is searchable to take advantage of the categorization capability.
9. Do basic on-site SEO things
Make sure each Title is unique – no duplicates
Make sure titles and descriptions include / represent well- researched keywords / phrases.
Be mindful of your keyword density but don't obsess over it. Write for people and the SEO issues will take care of themselves.
You have good share and also become a backlinking expert or hire someone for you to do that work. And also make sure they are high quality backlinks otherwise you are wasting your time and money.
