I am doing SEO from 1 year, but I am not ware of leads and business. I would like to know do we really get business by doing SEO?

A year into SEO and you are unaware of leads and business? Seems to me that your on-page and off-page optimization stuff isn't really going right... Many webmasters (including me) have been making great traffic and ROI with SEO. Now why your business didn't benefit outta it maybe because:

- Your website is just another bundle of webpages on the web - not adding any value
- You outsourced your SEO part & that guy messed up your site with bluefart SEO (automated submission etc)
- You arent really promoting your website to the world (using social bookmarking, networking, blogging etc)
- You have played lazy with content, keywords, titles, descriptions etc, hence no clickthroughs...
