How often should you perform a link audit?

I perform link audit with seo audit tools. Some important seo audit tools are follwing
a) moz.com
b) neilpatel
c) seoptimer

A link audit may be a tedious and complicated process.  If you have just started on building links, you can do an audit quite often.  But a complete link audit should be done approximately once a year.

It totally depends on the website when to perform its audit. If it is an ecommerce website which is very heavy, its audit is needed in every week while other website with less content and for the lighter once we perform link audit in once a month.

Ours is a web design and development company which audit the links primarily once in a month and an ecommerce website once in a week.
