Everybody who have website is carzy about its website's search engine optimization, he need its site to be top for targeted keywords. But I want to know- Is search engine optimization really needed?

IMHO everyday personal sites and those that have no other value to anyone other than the creator should not have to rely on SEO or even be concerned with it. But if one wants to generate an income from a site then SEO will play a very important part.

SEO optimizes your site to improve your rankings, SERPs and traffic. So its needed to maintain its rankings and traffic.

SEO is the best method to get good traffic to your site, if your site is optimized for SEO you will have good traffic. You don't have to pay to any search engine for traffic.

You should mainly focus on content of your website.. It is the area of main focus. Seo work should be secondary and one should keep it for site popularity.

For increase visibility of your site you should do only two thing.Either PPC or SEO. PPC is costly than SEO.May be on because of this reason SEO is needed for increase ROI.

It's often a good idea to start out with PPC to get some quick info on click and purchase conversions. Then you can optimize SEO for that. (Personally though, I just do both and try cover long tails with articles etc.)

Oh, yes, SEO is needed! Just think of all the websites on the Internet today. With so many people researching products and services before making a purchasing decision, it only makes sense that there has to be some sort of 'guide' for searches. This guide is SEO. You must have it to your site in order for your site to get found by your propects.

Do You Need Search Engine Optimization?

Well, of course, you have the option of not making your site accessible to search engines and directories...but what's the point of that? If you want your site to be found, then you must optimize it for search; and basically, that means you must make it visible to search engines. Web sites in today's competitive business market that are not optimized for search don't have much of a chance of being found by potential customers; and that goes for non-business sites as well.

There's really no excuse for not doing search engine optimization. If you go through the trouble of making a web site, then your intention probably is for that web site to be found. SEO just is the process that helps this happen.

Today many people have website but they have not traffic so Search Engine Optimization help these websites to reach targeted readers.

If you can manage to get traffic to your website for your services without optimization and can make big bucks from internet then you obviously don't need SEO. But if you can't do that then you must go for SEO.

if you have an online store throw seo you can improve you conversion rate, and that is the maine idea of e-commerce

I would agree with learner. What would you need SEO for if your website's content does not catch your visitors' attention. If you have a great content people would link to your website. These organic links are great!

Yes, SEO is actually needed to increase traffic to a website.Only good design, content etc can't promote a website but seo is required to make it popular.
