Yes, I agreed with the points you have mentioned in the post/thread. Moreover, blog commenting helps to increase the relevancy and trust-ability of the blog/website, also it is beneficial in terms of 'Link-juice', but I disagree on the point that, it increases the traffic because I never saw any increase in the traffic due to blog commenting.

I do agree with your post for the most part, Sancon. That being said I've noticed a lot of people just like spamming blogs without actually reading and discussing the blog. If you don't put effort into your blog comments you run the risk of it getting deleted and the whole thing back fires on you.
