Title: SEO Plan Advice Needed
Post by: springnetvn on September 27, 2011, 09:01:07 PM
I'm a novice, and every since i started paticipating this forum i'm seeing people completely disregarding blog commenting which is actually what i spend most of my time doing. I still don't think having a nofollow link from a site is completely useless. But I always aim for niche related sites to link to be via comments.

Am i wasting my time ? or should my focus be somewhere else ?

I do a bit of social bookmarking. Maybe i'll join the occasional niche forum too and contribute to discussions.

I'm not the best writer so cancel out guest blogging and i'm not sure how to get links from other sites.

I also get some links via social media ie facebook, youtube, twitter.

Can someone give me some advice on how to be more agressive with my SEO.

If I have a website for a cleaning product and you set aside 10 hours to optimize the site .. how would u plan your time ?

SORRY! I know my question is a all over the place.

Well I haven't seen people disregarding blog commenting and even if you have, you should not get influenced from it since its an effective way of building backlinks.
I would like to tell you that you are going great with building a good social media reputation by social bookmarking, blog commenting and social networking as these are effective off page optimization tips and you should continue doing them.
-Try giving valuable comments while blog commenting which are helpful for others.
-Social bookmarking will help you interact with large audience and provide you with quality backlinks.
-You can also go for video marketing.

Well you need to concentrate more on on page factors now
Refer to this link for more information about on page factors

- Write content that is deliberately designed to attract links towards it .
- Title optimization
- Important HTML tags .
- Meta tags optimization .
- Link optimization .
- Image optimization
- Keyword optimization and synonyms .
I prefer using 'keyword country' for checking the profitability of keywords and it works for me.

10 hours is a big time, even if you contribute 6 hours to on page and off page factors you can utilize rest of the time trying directory submission which will help you gain quality backlinks.

SEO is of two parts 1. on page optimization 2. off page optimization
on page : updating title tags, content optimization are the main.
off page: link building like directory submissions, social bookmarking, article submissions, press release, forum commenting and blog commenting.

Blog commenting on niche blogs are useful and really help you getting some quality links, you can also incorporate guest blogging in you link building campaign, this will give boost to your traffic as well.
