Citation flow refers to the popularity of a link in a site without considering the quality of these links.

Citation flow means how useful a url can be it is calculated by keeping in mind the number of websites which are linked to that url. If a URL have high citation flow it means it is more useful and can help you in search engine optimization.

Citation Flow is a number of predicting how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it.

Citation Flow is a number of predicting how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it. Trust Flow is a number predicting how trustworthy a page is based on how trustworthy sites tend to link to trustworthy neighbors.

Citations are an important part of the search algorithm and are used by the search engines to help determine where to rank your site among the competition. In simple terms, for small and local businesses if you have more citations than the other man then you will likely be returned above them in the Search Engine Results Page (SERP)
