Crawling and indexing are two different things. Crawling means that the google spider/bot totally checks our website our code, our content, our images and analyzes it. indexing means that the pages/webpages are eligible to show in google search.

Crawling and indexing are two distinct things and this is commonly misunderstood in the SEO industry. Crawling means that Googlebot looks at all the content/code on the page and analyzes it. Indexing means that the page is eligible to show up in Google's search results.

Crawling is the function of the bots to scan the site pages while indexing is wherein the search engine store your informaton in the database.
