Link popularity is the measure of how popular a webpage is by the number of Backlinks. Link popularity is the single most important factor in a high search engine ranking. link popularity is not solely a matter of quantity. Page Rank is achieved when Backlinks are located on reputable, relevant sites.

It defines as the popularity of the website link which has been acquired by making the link popular as many as places on the web. Link popularity boost traffic rates and gives you quality back links from other site which will increase ranking. Now it is more important to put your link on other site which is related to your site so it will give you more popularity of site and quality traffic.

It defines how popular is that link to get back link from that. More than 100 links on the website is not good for submitting as Google doesn't like too many links on the site.

There are three types of links that will increase the link popularity of your site:
1.Internal links
2.Inbound/incoming links
3.Outbound/outgoing links.

Link popularity is a term used to tell "value of a website " on the basis of number of backlinks it has got. Link popularity is equivalent to number of backlinks a website has. It is an important factor used to determine the SERP of a website. Link popularity can be measured by number of inbound, outbound and internal links of a website.

Link Popularity is not specific to Google only, but was adopted by the vast majority of Search Engines.Website links in forum posts signatures used to be a favorite method a few years ago to gain link popularity in a short amount of time.You have to look for the link exchange details of each of the websites. The link exchange details lets you know how the website wants to its link to appear in your links page, where to send your link exchange details, etc.

f your website comes in top 10 with long tail including your local business keyword or area That is local link popularity.

And without long tail if its comes in top 10 that is local link popularity

Link popularity is a term that refers to how many other links point towards a particular website. The term link popularity also has two different forms, Internal and External, which refer to the links coming from the websites own web pages and from other websites.
