Hi,

both of these have their own advantages and importance. In fact both are interconnected as well, however at the first place SERP's are more important to show results and also it can help in gaining traffic and good business leads as well.

Definitely serps. Ranking in a search engine result page you get visibility, popularity and most importantly traffic. This is the main priority and goal of an online business: traffic and conversion (ROI).
The Google Toolbar PR is just a number assigned to a webpage, being mainly influenced by the quantity and quality of the backlinks. It is just a rough guide, nothing to be concerned about or obsessed with (the internal, that is actual PR, that is updated most likely every day, is not made public by Google).

The meaning of any of these cases depends on what point of view what to expect. For example, if you are selling links on your website, the band is more important than SERP. However, if you are earning through PPV (PPV) and PPC (pay per click) plans, which has a high PR will not help, but has a prominent position or rank in SERP to get a good flow traffic to your site very vital to its success. However, SEO, or an SEO professional, for me, both are factors.

i think SERP  is more important than PR because if your k/w is ranking in top position in SERP means you will get good traffic.

Well, as per my view both are important. SERP is the most important page of all and this is where every webmaster wants their websites to be presented. PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value.

SERP, Backlinks, PR and SEO Experts. They hold the answer to all our dreams. We take this stuff out to dinner and entice them to drink to excess. We want them all hot to trot, and receptive, when we ask them for the good stuff...

The significance of either is dependent on which view point you are coming from. For instance, if you are selling links on your website, then PR is more significant than SERP. However, if you are earning through PPV (pay per view) and PPC (pay per click) schemes, having a high PR would not help, but having a prominent position or ranking on SERP to get a good flow of traffic to your site is very vital to your success. Though, in SEO, or being an SEO professional, for me, both are factors.

Both are Important but I would like to say that SERP has more importance because after all main purpose of doing SEO is to get good ranking in SERP. If the SERP is good then we get maximum traffic and maximum traffic means more revenue. PR has also important because if the PR is high then website will become more trustworthy in search engines. That's why if the PR of a website is above 4 to 5 then search engines will index the website on a regular basis and if the content will indexed so quickly then the website will get good ranking easily.

If you want to increase traffic on your website then SERP plays an important role in that. You have to increase your SERP in order to get more visitors and more business. However PR also placed for its importance. It tells that how much your website is popular over the web.

I think both PR and SERP are important. If your website is on top SERPs then you get visibility, popularity and traffic. All these are the main priority and goal of an online business. The Google PR is just a number assigned to a webpage, being mainly influenced by the quantity and quality of the back links.
