Title: Which priority is first? on page or off page?
Post by: onpage on March 12, 2012, 07:29:16 AM
Hi friends,
Do you know which priority is first on page or off page?

I think on page goes to 80% and off page 20%.
What is  your idea about it?

Both the technique is equally important, on - page is done first for a site, because it is directly on the web - pages of the site, whereas, off - page is getting links from other sites...
Yes, one thing you can say on - page is one time process and off - page is continuous process; so there is always possibility to revive the page rank through off - page seo...  :)  :D

If you want to get your site on the first page of Google or any other search engine, you have to do both on page or off page SEO...........

First priority goes to on-page because it include Meta keywords and all summery of website which is useful for website. Off-page link building work is also important for website. These both are necessary for website and it is not possible to get ranking with any one strategy of SEO.

onpage will do 30% work for you(for less competitive probably more than 50%) and rest 70% you can push by your offpage work so better do onpage work first and than offpage

I think On-page is the first priority, you can't get keyword ranking without entering keyword on the page so on-page is the first priority.

On-Page is like, improving the quality of the product (website), whereas off-page is like advertising the product on the web. Both are having their importance in increasing the visibility(SERP ranking), trust-ability (Page Rank), traffic and business of the website.
Measuring the importance of both the part of SEO in percentage is not a good analysis. For example, some websites here can deny this analysis of 20-80 % impact.
- Wikipedia (no off-page still at the top)
- Facebook (no on-page, no off-page, only traffic works)
- Youtube (violating on-page rules still having PR 9)

Different strategies work for different websites. Therefore, attempting SEO processes is not a hard nut to crack but doing analysis of a website to choose the correct processes is done by experts only.

Both techniques are important. Usually on-page should be done first and then off-page. Some quick optimization techniques are there in off-page. So, off-page is done first by many people.

I think both are equally important. Although onpage activity should be given more prominence besides offpage activity.

I think, both are necessary part of SEO. Without on page, you can not target the right keywords and without off page you are not getting ranking in Google search.

Yes, I am agree with Hostsingh.
Both On Page and Off Page optimization is important.

On-Page SEO is the process of ensuring that the search engines understand what your page is about. This is done by structuring the page around a Keyword so that when that Keyword is typed into the search box your page is seen by the search engines as highly relevant.

Off-Page SEO is the process of convincing the search engines that other people see your site as useful/relevant. The factors the search engines look at include the number of links to your site, the anchor text used on these links and the authority of the sites giving these links.

Both are most crucial parts of SEO but comparably we must go for On page because of it provides the better way to create website according search engine guidelines. Content, Meta Detail Creation, Internal Linking, Site map creation, and Robot.txt are some of most important aspect of On page.
