Will this affect SEO?

Hello everybody, I would like to set up a redirect all .org addresses to .com addresses. I don't know if there is a right way and wrong way to deal with this as far as SEO -- we don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot on our search rankings. Will redirection affect SEO?

If you make a proper 301 redirect that essentially keeps all URLs still working (just changes domain name) then you will keep most of the link juice. In the past I would have said 100% of the link juice, but I am not so sure anymore. But you will be able to keep the majority of the link juice :) (and in my opinion a .com domain is probably worth it)

I think it's worth the minute risk of losing a tiny bit of PR. a .com domain looks better than .org in my opinion :)

I agree. A .com is a much better domain extension vs. the .org. So, it would be worth the risk of a little loss.

I m also agree, There is a little bit danger in regarding of PR, but you must include 301 redirect code.
