My site - http://kenbillington.ch/photobank - has several thousand high-resolution images but only 21 are indexed by Google. All images have src addresses and have unique "alt" and "title" tags.

Recently I found A1 Sitemap Generator and uploaded an image sitemap made with this interesting software to my server. The new sitemap was announced to Google but so far there has been no increase in the number of images indexed.

Hoping to receive advice on how to get my images indexed by Google.

Did you use version 2.2.0 to create your image sitemap. If so, it should work. I just checked my own google webmaster tools account, and it seems to read my image sitemap fine although it took some days before numbers began moving)

It appears there sometimes is a problem building image sitemaps in A1SG. Here's the active thread about image sitemap problems. I am currently working on this issue. (Just wanted to point to it incase anyone here is suffering of the same problem)

Yes, I am also having a problem generating an image sitemap for my whole site. The site scan goes fine and I can analyze and correct a couple of things in the overall results. However, as soon as I try to generate the image sitemap the CPU on my computer goes up to 100% and gets stuck there. It seems that the software is draining all of my PC's power and is stuck in a loop. Do you have a solution for this problem?

Yes, I am using A1SG 2.2.0, but the number of URL's indicated by Google webmaster tools seems to reflect only the html's but not the jpeg's. Also as indicated in my other reply, A1SG sometimes get's stuck generating image sitemaps and the computer CPU runs at 100% in a loop.

Please advise.

I have just updated the image sitemaps tutorial.
At bottom it now shows Google recognizing the image sitemap as an image sitemap, no errors and indexing it. (image sitemap created with A1SG)
