I would like to know if to use this software, supporting PHP is needed.

A1 Sitemap Generator supports crawling PHP websites. From a crawler perspective, it does not make any difference if your website is made in e.g. PHP, ASP or HTML. The output as seen by browsers and crawlers is still HTML.

If you are asking if A1 Sitemap Generator is coded in PHP, the answer is no.
