What is the maximum size of HTML sitemap?

Max links in a HTML sitemap should be 100-200 per page

I have noticed in webmaster tools that you are allowed to submit up to 10 different sitemaps and I generated even more and it accepted all. depending on the website size perhaps. Also, I have not noticed any size limitation for the files.

Worth noting: The question was about HTML sitemaps which are not accepted by Google Webmaster Tools / Google sitemaps submission
