How to prepare your PC for installation

•   You should Perform steps 1 and 2 first, then you have to try to install your McAfee software:

   Step 1: Make sure that your Windows version is up to date
   Step 2: Uninstall any existing security software from the PC

•   If you have still got any problem, then perform these next steps
Steps 1 and 2 are all that you need to do to prepare the PC for the installation of a McAfee product. If you still have a problem installing your product even after following steps 1 and 2, then continue with steps 3 and 4, below:

   Step 3: Download and run the McAfee Pre-Install Tool
   Step 4: Run the McAfee Consumer Product Removal (MCPR) tool
