Title: 301 Redirection
Post by: Smith_euk on December 16, 2020, 05:57:25 AM
Hello,

I am working on one web development website. This website holds some old page URLs but those pages are not present today. For better optimisation and user navigation I need to redirect those pages to live ones.
So, can anyone please explain to me the steps to do 301 redirections?

A 301 signals a permanent redirect from one URL to another, meaning all users that request an old URL will be automatically sent to a new URL.

If you are using worpress then you can install the redirection plugin and start using it, if you are using any other plat form then try to find other apps to use redirection.

301 redirection is a command signal to search engine to redirect the visitors from "A" to "B"

A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect that passes full link equity (ranking power) to the redirected page. 301 refers to the HTTP status code for this type of redirect. In most instances, the 301 redirect is the best method for implementing redirects on a website.
