Rich snippets are the structured data which can be seen below the search results. It tells the rating, location, reviews etc of the company.

A snippet is a result Google shows to the user in the search results. There are two types of snippets first is normal snippet, and second is rich snippet. A rich snippet contains much more information than the normal snippet does.
