Which is better — Meta Robot tags or robots.txt?

robots.txt is file
Ithink meta robots tag in better for security reason.

meta robots is tag
robots.txt is presents in root folder of website
meta robots is presents on webpages
robots.txt file defines the rule for website
meta robots tag defines the rule for the singlepage

Robots.txt is better compared to meta robots tag. Robots.txt is a text file that lists webpages which contain instructions for search engines robots. The file lists webpages that are allowed and disallowed from search engine crawling.
