Try A1 Sitemap Generator - it will automatically split your generated XML sitemap into multiple files if necessary + create a sitemap index file.

If you have a large website with tons of pages then I would recommend you to take the help of a programmer and generate sitemap using programming script because most of the XML sitemap creator tools can't help you create the perfect sitemap includes all the website URLs.

We have had people handle million page websites with A1 Sitemap Generator - but yes: If you have raw DB access + have a huge pure DB run website - a programmer can be a good option. It depends on your needs and website.
