Hey guys, my site's Header slider image started hanging one day. I reached out to a php programmer who told me it was a plugin update which caused the slider plugin to malfunction and there's nothing I can do to get it back to normal.

He also said I should not use WP because of this problem which is normal from plugin updates and I should use PHP platform instead.

Since I have the original backup theme on my desktop I am not understanding why I cannot upload only the original slider plugin from it again and then disable "Update" feature for that specific plugin?
