Title: Automating CSV Output
Post by: matiasnino on November 22, 2014, 02:36:30 AM
Hi! This product is great and I am nearly ready to buy it. However, I am having a hard time getting the output to append new rows to the CVS file with every scan. It seems to overwrite the first row every time, even with the "ensure new records in output" option selected. Am I doing something wrong?

Background: I am using the single column extract example to read one value in a tag from a URL. The value changes constantly and I need the CSV file to contain the varying values throughout a length of time with multiple scans.

Please advise on the best approach.

Thank you for the advanced support!

Hi,

We will add an append option to the 6.0 release which will be out very soon. If you want access to the beta email info here: http://www.microsystools.com/home/contact.php (http://www.microsystools.com/home/contact.php)

(If you wish, you can also email your project file, so we can test it before releasing a new beta.)

Hi!

I just installed version 6.0 and ran my project with it. Unfortunately, the csv output file is still being replaced every time I run the scan. I would like for the destination file to be appended each time with a new row.

Can you please advise?

Thank you sir!

...Matias

There's a new option for appending CSV files. Email your project file if you have problems, and I will take a look! :)
