This board was created, so people could learn and take the best from some of the agressive and/or creative SEO / traffic strategies out there.
However, please note that both
- Blue hat
- Grey hat
- Black hat
are all
much more risky and can be
against search engine guidelines to use.
However, even if one does not intend to use such SEO strategies, it can be important to know they exist (and that competitors may be using them)
This board is
not for discussing how to best spam the web with useless links and/or doing illegal stuff.
However, that still leave plenty of topics left. Some examples include:
- Creative "blue hat" SEO strategies
- White hat versus black hat explanations
- How to see if a competitor is using black hat
- Protect your sites from negative SEO
I heard only about white and black hat but didn't heard about blue and grey hat SEO
I don't know which is white hat and black hair off page SEO activity. How to know ?
black hat: This strategy gives you the quick result but your site may spam
white hat: In this strategy one should follow all google factors and result will be slower but stable
greyhat: Not fully white hat methods some tricks you can use to get rank quicker.
White Hat SEO refers to any practice that improves search performance on a search engine results page (SERP) while adhering to that search engine's policies. In terms of Google, White Hat techniques follow their self-published guidelines. Some examples of White Hat tactics include using keywords, back-linking, link building, and writing content that focuses on relevancy, organic ranking and audience engagement.
Black Hat SEO tactics are disapproved practices that increase page rankings in a SERP by going against that search engine's terms of service. Black Hat techniques range from keyword stuffing, using unrelated keywords in page content, and invisible text to doorway pages, page swapping, redirects and content automation.
White Hat is preferable to Black Hat in that said practices are ethical and sustainable. Black Hat practices are effective, but are risky and can cause your site to be reported.
Grey Hat SEO, on the other hand, is SEO practice that remains "ill-defined" and/or "ill-advised" by search engine published guidelines and which can be disagreeable. In essence, it's Black masquerading as White. For example, click bait. Click bait refers to a practice where someone posts something like an eye catching link or piece of content that encourages a reader to click and read more.
