i think if you follow webmaster guideline that is called white hat seo, if you do not follow webmaster guideline that is called black hat seo.

White Hat SEO is approved by search engines while Black Hat SEO uses techniques such as keyword bulking and spandexing which are frowned upon.

The main difference between black hat and white SEO is that the former is more focused on taking advantage of the search engine rules, while white hat is more focused on benefiting users through fresh content. Black hat leads to punishments from Google if caught, which can be very inconvenient for businesses that are reliant on their website for income.

As far as I know about the two techniques, White Hat Seo is used by entrepreneurs who would want to focus on a long term investments. This type differs from a black hat because it usually targets human audience while the Black Hat goal is to get a higher rankings by a search engine.

Black hat SEO :- Black hat SEO does not Follow Google guidelines it is purely negative and google can not accept it. Black hat SEO techniques include keyword stuffing, doorway and cloaked pages, link farming, hidden texts and links, blog comment spam.
