Keyword Density refers to the percentage of how many times a keyword or key phrase appears in the content of the website in comparison to other words of the content. According to some experts, keyword density must be between 3-5% of the total words of the website content, otherwise it will be considered as keyword stuffing.

I usually have a 2~3% key word density but I only use 10~20 words. Many times I try to pun links in those words, and make them be anchor text. I don't know why, but most bloggers do that so I guess I should do it to :P

well i think it was something matter of past. Now scenario has been changed. Ranking depends on so many things. Let me share you my exp. my site was ranking on 1st page 7th position in Google on very high competitive and search volume 2 phase keyword while it was no where in my meta and content. i wanted to bring more on top so i added that keyword one time in title and 2 times in content with great surprise that keyword is on 3rd page.

As per me Keyword density just means the percentage that the keywords appear in the content versus rest of the text. The preferred keyword density ratio varies from search engine to search engine. In general, I recommend using a keyword density ratio in the range of 2-6%.

Hi all,
Keyword Density refers to the presence of keywords on a web-page or website. It is measured as the percentage of keywords use in your website content. The ideal percentage is 2-3 % of the total website content for Google.
